SHORT INTRODUCTION ABOUT OUR EARTH

Earth is the third planet from the Sun, and the largest of the terrestrial planets in the Solar System in terms of diameter, mass and density. It is also referred to as the World, the Blue Planet, and Terra.

Home to millions of species, including humans, Earth is the only place in the universe where life is known to exist. The planet formed 4.54 billion years ago, and life appeared on its surface within a billion years. Since then, Earth's biosphere has significantly altered the atmosphere and other abiotic conditions on the planet, enabling the proliferation of aerobic organisms as well as the formation of the ozone layer which, together with Earth's magnetic field, blocks harmful radiation, permitting life on land. The physical properties of the Earth, as well as its geological history and orbit, allowed life to persist during this period. The world is expected to continue supporting life for another 1.5 billion years, after which the rising luminosity of the Sun will eliminate the biosphere.

In its 4.5 billion years, Earth has evolved from its hot, violent birth to the celebrated watery blue planet that stands out in pictures from space. But in a new book, two noted University of Washington astro biologists say the planet already has begun the long process of devolving into a burned-out cinder, eventually to be swallowed by the sun.

The 20th century saw a rapid increase in human population, and it of course is a very major problem all around the world. People all around are having many problems due to increasing population which results in the problems in the society like increase in competition, decreasing the places to live in, decrease in water supply. People all around are becoming enemies of each other and do not have any thing to do with their own ones also. This type of mentality is increasing in our society day by day. Also due to lack of more natural resources people all around are suffering from great problems and the situations are getting worst day by day due to these changes occurring in the nature which man is making for their selfish needs.
